About Alexander Michael Reeves

Brooklyn-based and Kentucky-born, Alexander Michael Reeves is an actor, singer, director, educator, and advocate whose work is rooted in heart, humor, and a deep belief in the power of representation. A former foster kid and lifelong Type 1 diabetic, Alexander’s early experiences navigating disability and identity without a consistent support system shaped the resilience, compassion, and purpose that fuel his artistry and advocacy today.

He currently serves as the Program Coordinator at EPIC Players, a neuro-inclusive theatre company in New York City, where he develops and leads accessible performance programs for neurodivergent and disabled artists. A proud transgender artist and vocal coach, Alexander specializes in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ voices, helping students find freedom and strength in their authentic sound.

Since 2015, Alexander has worked as a musical theatre teaching artist, private coach, and inclusion consultant, with credits spanning Off-Broadway stages, community workshops, and regional theatres. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned his BA in Theatre with a minor in Musical Theatre, completing over 220 credit hours including graduate-level coursework in special education. While at WKU, he also worked with the Kelly Autism Program as a mentor and consultant for autistic students.

Alexander’s training includes intensives at The Gaiety School of Acting (Dublin), West End On Demand (London), Rock the Audition with Sheri Sanders, and Lights! Camera! Access! Hollywood. His students have gone on to perform on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in Drunk Shakespeare, on network television, and in regional productions across the country.

Some of his favorite acting roles include Tigger in House at Pooh Corner, Duke in The Great American Trailer Park Musical, and the Emperor in The Emperor’s New Clothes. Whether on stage or in the studio, his work is guided by a simple principle: everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and valued exactly as they are.

When he’s not teaching or performing, you’ll probably find Alexander by the water, curating the perfect playlist, or cooking something homey. He carries deep gratitude for the chosen family, partner, and friends who remind him daily that he no longer has to face anything alone—and he works every day to make sure others don’t have to either.
